| How
does Restylane Vital work on the back of the hands?
The ageing process produces
loss in skin volume and elasticity of the deeper layer of the skin
called the dermis. This process makes the veins on the back of the
hands appear more prominent. Microfine droplets of dermal filler can
be used to correct this volume loss and restore a more youthful appearance.
Restylane Vital has been specifically developed for this purpose and
contains Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally occuring substance. We offer
this treatment at the clinic.
What
is involved in treatment?
A topical
anaesthetic cream is applied to the back of the hands for 45-60 minutes.
After this time, micro-injections of Restylane Vital are used to carefully
place the dermal filler and this is massaged into the deeper layers
of the skin to produce a natural look. We recommend a course of two
to three treatments at 6-8 weekly intervals and a top up treatment
every 6-months.
What
are the side-effects of treatment?
It is
normal to experience mild brusing and temporary tenderness at injection
sites. The skin will normally fully recover within 5-7 days and improvment
in the skin will be observed over the next few weeks.
How
much does treatment cost?
Each session of treatment costs £180 and we
recommend a minimum of two sessions for a course. We offer a special
package price of £350 for two sessions providing this is purchased
in advance.
